A Battle Within MyselfI wish when I laid my head down to rest, my thoughts would not wander so freely.

The confusing patterns they create, travelling east to west like the sun, suddenly re-directing north to south like the birds, it all becomes too hard to handle.

Prologue

The early Church for many Christians is something that receives little attention. Many see the early Church as a people who were persecuted by the Roman empire and eventually rose to prominence after Christianity was legalized in 313 Ad.. While these persecutions were very real and Christianity really did triumph, the early Church has a rich history while at the same time a very human history. This is not a bad thing, however, for the mission of the Church is the interaction with sinful humanity in hopes of redeeming it. The Church, the Body of Christ, is both human and divine—a great mystery, and one worth entering.

I'm sorry, but I'd like to know why the majority of the work displayed here is gothic/angsty. There is an infinite amount of happier work with meaning, too. Life shouldn't always have to be portrayed as terrible.

The works are mainly like this because this is what people submit to our group.
Yes we do go through and choose which are appropriate, but it's not like we are meaning to just make it a gloomy group. Just that not many people seem to be submitting the 'happy meaningful' artworks.
But I understand your concern
